Our approach to excitation design

EES have an experienced and knowledgeable design team. We can design stand alone excitation systems, or combined generator control packages that include generator protection and synchronising schemes.

We specialise integrating retro-fit systems in to existing applications, for example power plant upgrades and refurbishments. We write our own specifications for the replacement of obsolete excitation systems dating back to the 1960s and identify the most economical remedies.

We can offer a robust and reliable excitation system design suitable for any application that can be used in conjunction with any manufacture of synchronous generator or motor.

Our approach to design is flexible to allow application specific requirements to be met.

We have in depth experience designing and testing our excitations systems to comply with the UK grid code. This includes excitation system hardware design and dynamic performance.
